2023 Bram Stoker Awards Banquet and Ceremony

From left to right, I am pictured with authors Erin E. Adams, Mo Moshaty, and P.M. Raymond.

They called it Horror Prom, and I would have to agree. The Halloween People clean up well. I laughed because Kevin Wetmore was a hilarious emcee. I cried because Cynthia Pelayo’s acceptance speech honored her late father, and I could relate. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room when she spoke. A highlight of the night was watching THE Linda D. Addison read Nuzo Onoh’s acceptance for the Lifetime Achievement Award. Next year, I’ll pack tissues.
